New Ohio Autism Recommendations 2012 Released

This spring, the Interagency Workgroup on Autism tasked the Advisory Board of the Ohio Center for Autism and Low Incidence with updating and “revisioning the recommendations of the original Ohio Autism Taskforce. The OCALI Advisory Board was well suited to this task as it is made up of a variety of stakeholders from all parts of Ohio. A draft of recommendations was created and then five public forums were held in NW, NE, SW, SE and Central Ohio to get public feedback on them.  The draft was revised to include this input and a final report was created.  The final recommendations were presented at a meeting of the IWGA by Shawn Henry with support from Revisioning Committee Chair Jon Peterson, and OCALI Advisory Board members Barb Yavorcik, Sondra Williams and Reggie Fields.  The Interagency Workgroup on Autism has accepted the Ohio Autism Recommendations 2012 edition.  Click on the link to see the full report and recommendations.
