Two State Departments Consolidate

ODADAS (Ohio department of alcohol and addiction services) and ODMH (Ohio department of mental health) have announced that effective July 1, 2013, they will be known as the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services.

Many families may not be aware that they may find appropriate counseling, medication management, and psychological services through local community mental health agencies in their area. These centers can be a great resource for services plus they take private insruance, Medicaid and also have sliding fee scales for their services. You can find a local community mental health center in your area by visiting http://www.mh.state.oh.us/ and just type in your zip code.
