New Autism Events!

Thanks again for all the emails, letters, phone calls, etc… It has been an amazing response, and it seems many of you want information about upcoming autism awareness events.  Here’s a few new ones to add, big and small.

This Saturday night, Level One Lounge in Powell is doing “A Toast to Autism Awareness” where they will donate 10% of the night’s earnings, along with personal donations to a school for autistic children, Oakstone Academy.  If you feel like having a night out Saturday, this is the place.  It’s at 9852 Brewster Lane in the Powell Crossing Shopping Center.  Doors open at 3pm!

And a couple of events to tell you about for later this year.  September 20th, Mansfield Motorsports Park will welcome in thousands of walkers for an Autism Awarness Walk-A-Thon on the track there--very cool idea!  Food, entertainment, raffles, speakers… a good time!  For more info call Debbie at 419-589-8762.

Also, the largest autism event in Ohio happens November 18-21th at the Columbus Convention Center. The NATTAP conference (Ohio Autism Conference) convenes with more than 200 speaking sessions by national leaders in autism research. More than 80 exhibitors will be on hand to show products and services for the families of children with autism.  There is a special registration rate for parents and families affected by autism.

On November 18th, the convention floor will be open for free from 5-8pm for the Autism Expo 2008.  For both events, contact Simon Buehrer for more information at 614-410-0995.

Please let me know if you have some upcoming events you’d like everyone to read about.

Thanks
JEROD

No comments for you.

The Walk Now for Autism event will be held on October 12 at the Schottenstein Center. I’ll be there walking with my 3 year old daughter, who is autistic. http://www.walknowforautism.org/site/c.ddKFIMNrEqG/b.4045185/
