Softball Showdown For Autism!!
Thanks to all of you for your interest in our media softball tournament. Even if you can’t attend Sunday, you can still show support by going to autismspeaks.org and making a donation online. We’d love to see you and your family Sunday at Fryer Park in Grove City. Here’s the 411 on the tournament and how you can get involved!

From the North:
I-71 South to Stringtown Road (Exit #100). Turn right and continue west approximately 1
mile to Hoover Road. Turn left onto Hoover Road and travel south 1.3 miles to Orders Road.
Turn right and proceed west 1.4 miles to Fryer Park. Access park via Discovery Drive.
On Sunday, July 12, NBC 4 Sports Director Jerod Smalley will host the 2nd Annual Softball Showdown for Autism. The event helps raise money and awareness for the Autism Speaks - Central Ohio Chapter. Families with children with the disorder are encouraged to attend this free event. The game will feature teams from NBC 4, 10TV, ABC 6, The Fan 97.1 FM, 92.3 WCOL FM, QFM 96, Power 107.5, and a team of former Ohio State football stars.
The media Softball Showdown will take place on Sunday, July 12th, at Fryer Park (3899 Orders Road, Grove City) from 10am-2pm. The event will offer food and games and will include local autism groups to help raise awareness of Autism.
Donations will be accepted for food, beverages and t-shirts with all proceeds benefitting Autism Speaks - Central Ohio Chapter.
Players for the NBC 4 team include Jym Ganahl, Ben Gelber, Mindy Drayer, Jerod Smalley, Omar Ruiz, Marshall McPeek, and Patrick Preston.
The QFM 96 team will feature members from The Wags and Elliott Show and the Joe Show, and Power 107.5 will be fielding a team from their Morning Crew.
The all-OSU football team will have greats including Marcus Freeman, Brandon Joe, AJ Trapasso, Josh, Huston, Andy Groom and others.
