—My Place To Be, a Newark-based non-profit organization that serves families and children with autism and related special needs in Licking County and surrounding areas, will hold a special performance of an original play called “A Day Among Friends”. The actors are children from Licking County school districts and surrounding areas, ages 2 to 17. The performance will be hosted by The Midland Theatre on May 9th, 2009 at 4:00pm; doors open at 3:00pm. All members of the community are invited to attend; admission is by donations to support My Place To Be.

-Sunday, May 31st, the Whole Foods Market on Lane Avenue sponsors a Feast on freshly grilled foods and savors the thought that a portion of the proceeds will benefit Autism Speaks. The grillout runs from Noon-4pm Sunday.
