The most significant event in terms of money raised, the Autism Speaks Walk kicks off Oct. 12th on OSU’s campus. Dr. Gee is the honorary chairman, and I’ve been asked to emcee the walk. I participated in this walk Sunday with my son’s School, Oakstone Academy, and over 9,000 of our closest friends. Let me tell you - it was AMAZING. To see what we as a community can accomplish in only 6 months of planning. Just imagine what next years walk will be like!

NBC 4's Jerod Smalley and his wife, Sarah, are the proud parents of Brady Smalley. In July of 2007, Brady was diagnosed with autism at 21 months old. On this blog, the Smalleys will update Brady's progress and give advice to families dealing with the difficulties of autism.
