Blessings…
Wow—what a week, ya know? The days fly by and are jam packed with one thing after another. Good stuff, of course. I know you all understand, because whether you are a SAHM, WAHM…or (what’s the phrase for full-time working outside of the home mom?) I know life is crazy. I’m not wild about the “titles” because we are all working hard to…as I say… “keep my head on straight.“
I woke up this morning and bounced out of bed. I was just happy to be where I am, doing what I do, surrounded by the people I love. I have no complaints and that’s something to celebrate, I think. Life gets so busy, that it’s easy to let the little things get you down or even completely miss out on all the blessings that surround us everyday. My family is healthy and safe. We are happy and enjoying every minute watching our darling daughter make new discoveries. Her smile and giggle light up my life. She fills me with so much love that I just want to cry, and I know that you know what I’m talking about. That’s plenty to be thankful for and to celebrate. What did I ever do without her?
I also want to add how very thankful I am for all of you. You are all so supportive, leaving such kind notes here on the blog, and also sending such dear emails. They really make the difference. Allison and I (and the whole NBC 4 team) work hard on First at 4, and the feedback we are getting is AMAZING. I couldn’t be happier with everything and I’m just lucky to have such great folks to join me on this journey. When you take on a new challenge, you never know what you are going to get, but the support we’ve received is a blessing and I just wanted to say thank you…so…THANK YOU!
Oh—I’ve attached a few pics from our July 4th weekend at Buckeye Lake. What a blast we had with the family!
Make it an amazing weekend! And feel free to share what makes you feel blessed….happy thoughts, my friends, happy thoughts!

Hi Ellie,
Caroline is so pretty. I love that last picture where she has that big and beautiful smile. She is just as precious as can be!! Thank you for sharing pictures of her with all of us!!
So, you ask us about what we are thankful for and how we feel blessed…. I am so very blessed to have a husband that loves me unconditionally and works so hard throughout the week to allow me to stay home with our son Cameron. My other little blessing is Cameron. He just turned 18 months and is truly the light of my life. He brightens my every single day with his smile and laughter. He is just such a loving little boy and a true miracle from God. I couldn’t be more blessed then I am right now. Blessings continue to come everyday as he grows and discovers new things every single day. Our God has truly been good to us and has richly blessed our family!!
Thank you Ellie for all you do….

I am so excited and had to share this with someone other then my family. It will be a moment that
you will soon experience I am sure and a moment that you will love!!
Cameron woke up this morning with the chickens…. (ok that is not the
part that you will love), but as he woke up he was yelling “Mommy,
Mommy, Mommy”. I wanted to roll over and say “I get 30 more minutes”,
but then I realized that I had waited a long time to hear that every
morning. Shawn went in to get Cameron out of his crib and brought him
to our bed. Well, Shawn fell back asleep and Cameron was laying next to
me. I was rubbing his forehead and talking to him about all sorts of
things and for the very first time he said “I Wuv Ew”. It was so cute!!
We have been working on saying that with him by touching our eyes and
crossing our chests and pointing to him, but he said it today without
doing any of the hand gestures and put it all together. It DEFINITELY
started my day out great. It was a moment to cherish and remember
forever!! Goodness, he may be small, but he continues to amaze me
everyday.
Anyway, I had to share that wonderful news….. hope you enjoy your
mornings with Caroline as well. I am sure you enjoy every moment just
as I do with Cameron. Have a great week!! Thanks for listening….
