Gratitude List

I love gratitude lists. When you make a list of the things you are most thankful for at that moment, it’s a great wake-up call to the many blessings in our lives. I thought this would be a great way to kick off the week.

So—here’s my list of things I am thankful for at this very moment in no particular order….except #1 and #2. :)

1.) My sweet baby girl was singing when she woke up this morning. I could hear her on the monitor and it was beautiful! What a perfect way to wake up.
2.) My husband—he loves me and I love him.
3.) Coffee—don’t pretend like that’s a shock. I love a big cup of coffee in the morning and I need it to get going today.
4.) Spring is here! It doesn’t feel like it today, but the calendar says it’s Spring and we have some gorgeous days ahead.
5.) The park near my house. Caroline loves to play there and we went down the slide this weekend no less that 5.2 million times.
6.) Chocolate and peanut butter.
7.) Chocolate and peanut butter eggs (the Easter candy). I went shopping for candy for Caroline’s Easter basket, and have already cheated. I CANNOT resist the Reese’s peanut butter eggs. They are divine.
8.) Girlfriends—enough said. My gal pals are the best and I’m so thankful for them.
9.) My job. I love my job, and in these tough economic times, that’s a rare thing to say.
10.) I’ve got dinner planned for tonight, so no need to worry about “what’s for dinner” all day long.

Hi Ellie -  Hope you and yours had a Happy Easter.  We definitely need to see the pretty Easter dress that you had Caroline dressed in so you gotta share : ) 

Ok, here is my list of things that I am thankful for today.

1)  So thankful for my God.
2)  Waking up to a happy child every day.  A child that is singing, happy and smiling every single morning.  I love it!!
3)  For my husband… we have a great relationship that gets better and better every day.  I love him dearly.
4)  A roof over my head… God has blessed us with so many things, but I am just so thankful that we have a house that we have made a home.
5)  I must admit… I am so thankful that spring is here.  I love the warmer weather!!
6)  So thankful that I am able to stay at home with my son.  It is the best job I have EVER had and will EVER have!!

Thanks Ellie for the great time to reflect on things we are thankful for.  I must admit that I too am obsessed with those chocolate peanut butter eggs.  I like them better then the Resse’s Peanut Butter cups.  What are we gonna do when they are all gone until next Easter?  We better hurry up and stock up (lol).

Hi Ellie!
I was just checking your cute blog today! We would love, love to see you guys when you “move” to the north soon! Can’t wait to catch up on things!!!
Also- I have a GREAT person who would be perfect to do a “green” story on if you ever need one. She’s amazing - her entire home is “green”, she’s a mom of two girls 4 and 6, and she does it by stretching her dollar! I just saw her house in old worthington - she was teaching me how to clean my floors in a non-toxic/safe way for Daly!
