HUGS AND KISSES!

I woke up to the perfect treat this morning….my daughter with a big smile on her face.  She gave my husband a big hug and kiss and then it was my turn.  Caroline leaned over, gave me a little pat on the back (that’s her hug), and a big wet kiss.  She is still mastering the art of puckering up, so when she gives us kisses, we have to expect some slobber.  :)  It could not have been sweeter and was the perfect way to start my day.  I will be honest.  Getting up in the morning isn’t my finest skill.  I love to snooze, but as most parents know, when you have kids your day starts early.  Some days are better than others, but they all begin with coffee for me.  Today really was the perfect start to a hectic day and I wouldn’t trade it for the world.  Thank the Lord for my beautiful, healthy daughter and wonderful husband.  By the way—my husband is a pro at making me coffee, so I luck out in lots of ways, I guess.

I just thought I would share a sweet story today.  I love hearing these stories from my friends.  They always brighten my day, so I thought I would pass one along to you.  Have a great day everybody….and feel free to share one of your stories, too.  :)

I have to admit that I love my little mans kisses.  Cameron (17 months) has been coming over to me out of the blue and says “huggie” and then he takes both of his arms and wraps them around mine.  It doesn’t stop there…. he will climb up on me to get to my face and lean in and kiss me right on the lips.  He is just as precious as they come and his slobbery kisses are indeed the best.  There might be times that kisses aren’t for him (at that exact time) and if that is the case and I ask for one then he will take the time to bend his neck and give me the forehead and then of course I have to give him a forehead kiss.  It is pretty cute!!  Another moment that I love the most is when I give him a bath…. my hubby and I share the responsibility.  I do most of the washing, but he covers his eyes so the water doesn’t get in his face and then he holds him up out of the water so I can get his lower half cleaned after I do the top half.  Well, while I am cleaning his feet, he ALWAYS leans his head over to my face so I can kiss him, then he goes to Daddy and then back over to me and we keep going back and forth kissing him until I am done bathing him and it is play time.  It is just a precious and a very memorable moment for me.  Goodness, aren’t these moments just the best?!?

Even tho my kid’s are alot older then your little girl… i still love to get hug’s and kisses from them..

When our youngest was little (she’s all grown up now) she would sit up in her bed, and “sing” us awake….“I’m awaaaaake”,over and over, starting out softly and increasing in volume until we heard her and either I or daddy would go get her out of bed…then all 3 would end up in bed snuggling with us! They all still take their turns snuggling next to daddy on the couch when we get together and watch movies!
