Elaborating With Ellie

Lunch Date for Kids

I thought a quick question might be fun on a Friday.  If you could pick anyone (living or dead) for your child to have lunch with, who would you pick and why?  It could be Gandhi.  It could be Elmo.  It could be to learn something about another generation or it could be purely for fun.  I chose lunch because we all know lunch is the way to go for “dates with the kids.“

My quick picks:

Susan B. Anthony because I think she’d be amazed (or frightened) at how “feisty” my daughter is, and she’d certainly appreciate her fighting spirit.
My grandmothers, because Caroline never knew them and they were wonderful ladies who could tell her some amazing stories about our family history.
Curious George.  Caroline loves that little monkey.  I think they’d have a good time together.

Happy Friday everybody!

Go Bucks!

What a fun question… Here are my quick picks!

First and foremost, I would pick MY grandparents.  Unfortunately, my grandparents have passed away and I know that they would truly enjoy getting to know Cameron and Cameron would probably adore my Grandpa on my Mom’s side.  He was such a funny guy and Cameron would have probably gotten a kick out of him.

I would also pick Mickey Mouse.  As you know Cameron loves and adores Mickey Mouse.  I painted 3 different poses of Mickey Mouse on his wall in his bedroom and he loves watching Mickey Mouse Clubhouse so he would probably have a ball with Mickey and his friends!!

Have a great weekend Ellie.
Stay warm and GO BUCKS GO!!

Take Care,
Lisa

I would pick both of my grandmas. One passed away a few years before my daughter’s birth. She loved everything “girl”. She was an accomplished ceramics and china painter-artist and had her own studio. She loved giving away dolls. She also wanted more daughters (she had 7 children, 5 were boys). As it so happens, my daughter just loves dolls. My other grandma passed away in May and did get to meet my daughter, but she loved children (having had 16 of her own). Heck, I’d love to join them and learn how they dealt with having such large families and keeping their sanity while living on a tight budget!

I would definately have to pick my sons grandparents. We don’t live very close to them and he absolutely adores them both (they adore him just as much!)so any time that he gets to have with Meme and PapPap is cherished by all!
