Elaborating With Ellie

Show Me Your Blog!

UPDATE:  Ok—lots of you have asked me about this.  If you’d like to share your link with everybody here—go right ahead.  If you want to share it with me, but don’t want to post it here—that’s fine—just email me.  :)  And—yes, feel free to link my blog to yours—the more the merrier.  :)

Happy Fourth of July!  Did you do anything fun?  I’m working on the holiday, but I get to spend the weekend with my family.  I’m really looking forward to cuddling and playing with my daughter.  I can’t believe she’ll be 18 months old next week.  Wow!  Where does the time go?  She is at such a fun age, and loves to say her “animal sounds” and hug her baby doll.

Ok—so far on my blog we’ve chatted about cloth diapers, temper tantrums, co-sleeping, and baby bargains.  I absolutely LOVE all the feedback and advice popping up in our “chats.“  You all have great insight on everything from finding a good deal to enjoying special moments with our children.  I get the best emails from all of you, and they really do make my day!

But now I want to hear from all you “bloggin’ moms” out there.  Go ahead and share your link.  You can either post them here if you’d like, or email me with a link to your blog.  I’d love to see them!  You work so hard on them, you might as well show them off right?  :) And tell me—what do you enjoy about blogging?  And how does it keep your connected?

Have a great weekend!
Ellie

I don’t have a blog. I guess I am behind with the times LOL

As for the 4th of July, we went to the local parade in the AM(in Sunbury) and Hannah had a BALL! She loved the horses and most of all the loud fire trucks/police cruisers!

We are able to watch the fireworks from our back yard :) My husband watched them as Hannah slept through the whole thing! She is such a sound sleeper!

It was a beautiful display :)

Hey Ellie,

Love the blog!  You are doing a great job and Caroline looks like she is growing fast.  Hard to believe how fast they grow - Sarah is 18 months already and talking up a storm.  Talk to you soon.

Hey Ellie,

I started keeping a blog when my husband and I found out we were pregnant.  Now that my little guy is 9 months old, it’s fun to look back at our parenthood journey and share new updates with friends and family.

i know you’ve seen it before ellie, but here’s a link for all of the other moms who have not checked it out yet…
i don’t have an actual blog, but i do have something similiar. it’s a website called ‘realmomsrock.com’.
i created it simply because i feel it’s so important to communicate with other moms for support.  it’s a site where moms can connect online, complete with a forum (where you can discuss anything and everything) and a featured mom every month!
check it out and visit the ‘mommy lounge’to chat with other real moms!

I’ve been blogging for three years, and currently write three blogs: my personal blog, a blog for product reviews and contests, and a blog about fun things to do in and around Columbus with your preschooler.

I love blogging because of the community I’ve found online. When I first started, I was a nervous new mom who felt isolated because many of my friends weren’t moms yet, and I didn’t know anyone in my neighborhood. Blogging helped me find a community of like-minded moms who understood how I was feeling and together we support each other. Now I’m flying to a women’s blogging conference next week to see many of my friends in person again!

It’s also nice to have an outlet for my thoughts and my personal blog serves as a record of my daughters’ early years. It’s certainly more useful than their baby books!

Hi there Ellie!  I have a “Mommy” blog, but it’s not a typical one.  I write a lot about embarrassing and humiliating situations my kids put me in.  My six year old son gives me plenty of material.  Here is a link to a recent situation at the doctor’s office…

I would love to see more Columbus Mom Bloggers in the on-line community.  Thanks for sharing this with us!

Hi Ellie,

After seeing your post on blogging I thought I would create a new site about my journey through infertility.  I hope it helps other couples to realize that they aren’t the only ones going through this emotional journey.  Remember for all of those couples going through infertility to NEVER give up on your dreams of becoming a parent.  There is nothing better then hearing “Mommy” or “Daddy” and receiving that special kiss or hug every day.

In addition to my blog on infertility…. I also have a blog site on my flower garden.  I enjoy gardening and photography when I have free time.  What is free time?  hahaha.  Here are my sites.

My husband and I have been trying to keeep a blog for our little guy, but so far we are quite behind!  I think we have about 3 months of his life documented and he is almost 9 months old now!  It has been hard for me to find time to keep up with the blog because I work full time and all I can think about all day is picking Ivan up and spending every last second with him before he goes to bed.  I really can not get enough of him!  I even stand by his crib every night and just watch him sleep before I am able to head off to bed myself.  It really is amazing how much stuff I just do not get done becuase it is not nearly as important as him and all of the fun stuff he is doing.  I plan on finding some time to get the blog updated though!
