These are a few of My Favorite Things…

I’m in a mood to celebrate today.  Really, it’s a fabulous day.  So I thought I’d run down some things (little and big) that I cherish.  The Sound of Music happens to be one of my favorite movies.  Scratch that.  It’s my all time favorite movie.  (FYI—my husband is rolling his eyes as he reads this.)  I could watch it over and over again.  Don’t you just love the music?  Edelweiss.  So Long, Farewell.  Maria.  And my absolute favorite, Sixteen Going on Seventeen.  I’m just an old school, silly gal, I guess.

So in true “Maria” fashion….here are a few of My Favorite Things!

*Caroline’s soft hair brushing against my cheek.  It makes me all warm and fuzzy inside.
*When my daughter screams “mama” and runs into my arms after work.
*The smell of coffee when my husband makes it for me in the morning
*Sleeping with the window open…last night was perfect!
*A big, silly, wet kiss from my daughter before I head off to work
*My husband when he snuggles with our daughter in the big comfy chair
*My job.  I am so lucky to love what I do.
*Caroline’s belly laugh….seriously it’s a vibrant giggle straight from her abs
*A glass of wine with my girlfriends (I have the best gal pals in the world!)
*Strong coffee loaded with cream and sugar on a Saturday morning
*Friday afternoon, when I know the weekend is right around the corner.

Well, I would have to admit that I have some similar favorites…

~ I truly LOVE being a Mommy
~ There is nothing better then hearing the laughter of a child and indeed I love hearing my son Cameron laugh.
~ I love looking at his small little hands & feet
~ I love hearing him say Mommy and I Love Ew
~ I love his bear hugs and his slobbery kisses
~ I love the smell of fresh baked chocolate chip cookies
~ I love my Mom’s cooking.  There is nothing better then having your Mom cook some of your favorites.
~ I love my flower garden
~ I enjoy the beach
~ I love when I get compliments from my hubby
~ I love FALL and the pretty leaves

Those are just to name a few….

My Favorite things

-The sight of my girls hold hands without being told to.
-The look in their eyes when they say “Momma, I love you”
-Tickle fights
-Watching waves crash
-Compliments (well, everyone loves those!)
-My job. It took a long time to find a profession that I can say I LOVE!
-School artwork in book bags
-Showing my oldest daughter “What ladies do”, like applying makeup, shaving legs, crossing legs
-Watching my youngest watch me do the above
-My wedding pictures
-MAKING PEOPLE LAUGH. Such a stress reliever!
-Cooking with my husband.
-Laying in bed talking about the silliest things with my husband and giggling oursleved to sleep.
-Holding hands
And lastly
-THE BUCKEYES!
