What would you give for sleep?
So I’m flipping through my Parenting magazine last night and got a good laugh when I came across their poll on sleep. Here it is:
What would you pay for a night of uninterrupted sleep?
50% Less than $100
22% $100 or more
28% name your price
It just made me giggle to think that parents, in tight economic times, are more than willing to dish out some cash to get some zzzzzz’s. I’m right there with ya! I fully admit that every morning I wake up in a fog, desperate to crawl back into my comfy, warm bed. Then I fuel up with some coffee and get movin’. But what I would give for a full weekend of sleep. Ahhh—doesn’t that sound good? (Hint: mother-in-law this would be an ideal birthday gift!) A good night of sleep can go a long way. :)
Do you feel sleep deprived? What would you give to sleep in?
Happy Tuesday!

I’m an early bird and my other two are night owls, so I’d prefer to be able to be in bed at 8:30 and not be worried about lunches being packed or any of that other stuff. I’m fine with being up at 5am. It’s quiet and the cats come sit on my lap while I have my granola bar before I exercise!

Sleep…what is sleep? Just kidding!! Cameron is actually a pretty good sleeper. I would just like uninterrupted sleep. There are times when Cameron wakes up during the night and screams for me or Daddy and then it is so hard for me to get back to sleep. He sleeps in here and there, but it is the time from 1-3 am when he is normally awakened for some reason or another. Is there any such thing as a perfect nights rest? Perhaps our little ones are so full of energy and don’t want to miss a thing so they are always wanting to get up and go, go, go. Energy is another topic for another day - right?

Actually just the other day I was so tired, once my husband got home from work I laid down at 7:30 pm woke up at 10:30 changed into pj’s and went right back to sleep, my husband was off the next day so he got all 3 kids up and off to school fed the baby breakfast and I slept till 9:30 am. I could not believe how long I slept it felt great. Although the kicker was last night I went to bed at 10:00 woke up at 12:30 and could not fall asleep till 4:00 this morning. The insomnia or something kicked and and said “HA NO SLEEP FOR YOU!!!“ although its 6:35 and I don’t feel tired.
