Dishin’ On Daytime

Add a little beer or wine and wonderful pizza from Catalfino’s and you have a party! What struck me most was that this group of women were just hanging around my kitchen, dishin’ the dirt and updating lives, and everyone was relaxed and comfortable just being together. I just stood back and smiled. We talked about kid diaper stories and kid campus stories….and everything in between.

As my girls grow older and the opposite sex becomes an important part of their lives, I’ve tried to explain to them that girlfriends are forever. Those guys may come and go,but your girlfriends are always there for you. Those important girls will be there to hold your hand when the boyfriend turns into the ex-boyfriend. And that’s just the beginning. Those girls will be there in times of joy to laugh with you and times of sorrow and share your tears. I wish everyone the friendship of a good girlfriend. And if, for some reason, you and a best friend have had a falling out, take time to examine why. Maybe it’s time to repair that relationship. A good and lasting girlfriend is hard to find.
