Dishin’ On Daytime
Hopefully when you read this you will have your cookies baked and your gifts wrapped. But if you don’t…who cares?? Honestly, I am expecting a wonderful Christmas and New Year’s even though I have cut back on preparations. Each year I seem to discard an old tradition, usually in favor of a newer, more meaningful one. Or I simply decide that I can cut back on my holiday to-do list without adding anything new and I’ve found the season is still a magical time. For me, being with family is what makes the holidays special. Interestingly, my kids seem to feel the same way. As they have gotten older, they want to do more “family” traditions and gift giving, instead of gift getting.
Take time this season to give thanks. No matter what is going on in your life, if you think about it you will find plenty to be thankful for. In our busy world we don’t give thanks enough…to our God, to our family, friends and co-workers. So give thanks and enjoy!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and Happy Holidays!
