CHA’s 19th Annual Dog Jog
From Citizens for Humane Action (CHA):
Dear Friends of CHA,
It is time for our next event - our 19th annual Dog Jog! This is CHA’s longest “running” fundraiser. Each year we continue to find ways to grow and improve this event. Again, this year we will be offering a 5K run/walk and a 1 mile walk. Before and after the event you can join us for our health fair with both animal and people vendors.
New location - those of you running or walking with dogs asked for more grass so this year we have moved down the street to McFerson Commons - just across from Nationwide Arena by the big arch. This will give your four legged friends a break from the pavement and give you more space to hang out, stretch out and relax before and after the event.
New time - for this year only - our start time will be at 10 a.m. Registration will be from 8:30-10 a.m., we will have vendor booths and food stations set up for those that want to come out early and enjoy the park a bit before taking off in the Dog Jog.
Online Fundraiser - CHA Animal Shelter has teamed up with FirstGiving to offer individual online fundraising pages. Set up your own page (or one for your dog or cat) so that friends, family and co-workers can help support you and CHA Animal Shelter. Our top fundraiser last year raised over $1000 on her page for the homeless dogs and cats at CHA Animal Shelter. To set up your own fundraising page click the link below. http://www.firstgiving.com/chaanimalshelter. As of today our online team have raised $1,175.00. Please join us and hope the homeless dogs and cats at CHA.
Pre-Registration - CHA has teamed up Columbus Running Company and Go Fitness this year to offer you more places to pick up your pre-registration packets. Pre-Registration is $25, Day of the race $30. Stayed tuned for dates and times to pick up your packets when you register online. Pre-register on line by clicking here: http://www.columbusrunning.com/dogjog.htm
