Blake’s Crew Of Champions Walkathon
Please support the Blake’s Crew of Champions Walkathon Saturday, May 30 at Marv Moorehead Stadium beginning at 8 a.m.
Blake is the Upper Arlington High School senior who was struck with necrotizing fasciitis (NF) last March. He is now in rehabilitation. NF is a bacterial infection most commonly caused by the Group A strep infection (flesh eating bacteria). The bacteria attacks the soft tissue and the fascia, which is a sheath of tissue covering the muscle.
This event offers everyone in the community an opportunity to shine a light on NF and help Blake Haxton regain mobility with prosthetics. Participants will raise money to promote NF awareness and for Blake and his family by walking laps around the track. There is not a required amount of money to raise in order to participate in the walkathon.
