Book Commercial Contest Underway at UA Library

Calling all aspiring actors and actresses in grades K-12! Make a commercial of your favorite book and enter our contest to have your commercial posted on the library’s web site. Record a video, no longer than two minutes, about one of your favorite books. With your parent’s permission, post the video on YouTube.

Pick up an entry/permission form at the Main Library’s Youth Services desk, and submit it no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, May 1. Library staff will watch the entries and judge each one based on creativity, enthusiasm/energy, and the ability to “sell” the chosen book. Bonus points will be awarded for using Ancient Egypt props or mentioning our summer reading program theme of “Get Wrapped in Reading.”

Winners will be announced on Thursday, May 21 and the winning entries in each age category posted to the library’s web site throughout the month of June.
