Dann’s Scheduler Tried to Keep Her Job
Marc Dann’s former scheduler, Jessica Utovich, is consulting with her attorneys after claiming she was let go from her job without her consent.
In emails and documents released by the Ohio Attorney General’s office late this afternoon, Utovich argues that she rescinded her resignation on the same day she offered it - May 1st - one day before Marc Dann acknowledged an extramarital affair with a staffer, determined later to be Utovich.
Read the email exchange here on page 1, page 2, and page 3.
Utovich said that Dann verbally agreed to rescind the resignation and allow her to keep her job. But Dann’s alleged acceptance was never passed along to fellow employees. They did not allow her to rescind the resignation.
Utovich resigned officially last Thursday. In an email to staffers, Utovich said she was “appalled by the treatment shown to (her).” She went on to say she wasn’t “proud of (her) actions in (her) personal life,” but she did not “deserve to be retaliated” against by the office.
