Just returning from a week of vacation to see that Obama is holding another small, invite-only event in Zanesville Tuesday. It marks the second such gathering in this month that his been small in scale. You’ll remember that Obama’s campaign undertook criticism that his supporters showing up by the thousands in arenas and stadiums were followers of a movement that bordered on a cult. Now in the general election, Obama’s M.O. appears to focus on the individual, as the candidate looks to come off as caring and a good listener, and not a giver of speeches.
Tuesday’s event is at a “Community Ministry in Zanesville which provides food, clothing, emergency relief and other services to families in need,” according to a press release.
Two weeks ago, Obama began an ad in which he mentioned his faith. This visit to a ministry seems to be another effort to draw voters’ attention to his Christian faith.
