All Work And No Play? Not NBC 4 Sports!
When we’re not working around the clock to give you the best Buckeye coverage in Central Ohio, we do try to have some fun on these Bowl trips.
The social highlight so far hasn’t been Bourbon Street or the French Quarter, but the pop-a-shot game mini-basketball game in the media lounge in our hotel.
On Wednesday night, a few Buckeye beat writers and I set records on the machine. I scored a 116, shooting at a blurring pace as you can see in the picture. Last night Cabot joined the action, before I headed out to Bourbon Street.
There haven’t been too many people out, I’ve seen a few Buckeye fans here and there, but not like the masses we expect this weekend. The Buckeyes need all the reinforcements they can get.
If you’re on your way down here, don’t turn on the radio - you may be bombarded with DJ’s promoting all the post-LSU championship parties they are already are planning.
The tourist areas are back to normal after Hurricane Katrina. They may be even better than ever. Hope to see as many of you down here as possible!
Safe travels… Omar
