Day 2 From New Orleans
OSU players spoke at a news conference this morning about a motivational DVD each player was given before leaving on break. The DVD was loaded with TV analysts talking about how the Buckeyes had no chance against LSU. The DVD runs 15 minutes, and as Alex Boone said today “my grandma wanted to punch the TV!“
Then OSU conducted its first practice of this trip a good 15 minutes out of downtown at the Saints practice facility.
The team practiced both outside and inside, and the team appeared healthy. Beanie Wells did not take part in all the drills, but did appear run well.
Former Buckeye Will Smith attended practice and spoke to the Buckeye defensive linemen.
As for our fearless NBC 4 sports team, we’re braving freezing temperatures like champions. Haven’t seen much of the city, but we ate some authentic Cajun food last night at Mulate’s (Omar was a HUGE fan). Jackson Square was gorgeous and the small part of the French Quarter we’ve seen is charming.
