Halfway Home!
Day 3 at The Memorial. Moving day. I’m looking forward to see how the course will play this afternoon, especially after the rain last night. Many of the players said they were hoping for rain to slow the greens down, but were a little anxious to see wilder wind than yesterday.
It’s another beautiful day out at Muirfield Village, the galleries ought to be spectacular as well. I’m always eager to see who shows up. I remember last year I saw Michael Redd here. Yesterday, Craig Crenzel and Michael Wiley were some of the familiar faces in the crowds taking in Friday at The Memorial.
Funny story yesterday. I meet this nice lady Thursday - she’s originally from Delaware, but now lives in Florida. We’re chatting, making good conversation and I think to myself I should feature her in a piece for Friday. So I go back to her and when I ask her about it, she says NO! No microphones. Rejected even after I turned on the charm. It’s not the first time I’ve ever been turned down for an interview. But never before for a good natured fun story like that would’ve been. I can see Mike Vrabel blowing me off, but not grandma fan. To each their own, right?
Hope to see you out here! If you have a funny Muirfield moment, leave us a comment we may read it on the air. Peace!
