My blog about Mark Titus’ blog
I seriously doubt when Mark Titus starting writing a blog about being a college basketball benchwarmer that he envisioned all this. NY Times articles, featured on ESPN, a fundraiser for children’s charities. Who knew being a dork with a dream could take you so far (as a dork myself I’m aware of how it holds you down).
Having said that… watch this video that debuted on clubtrillion.com this week. It’s clearly his NBA demo tape.
First of all, he says none of the shots took more than a minute to get, which means he’s just plain lucky with his halfway-up-the-stands antics. And God bless Warrant!! A brilliant music choice… next time I make a viral video I’m gonna set it to Judas Priest (someting from side 2 of the casette).
More than 2 million have visited his blog, and students from other schools know Titus by name. This proves my theory that having a sense of humor gets you significantly further in life than being a harda#$. It’s really a study in how new media and the speed at which information now travels has changed our lives—-and how smart people can use that media to their advantage. Mark “The Shark” is a smart guy.
ps—he really does have a nice jumper.
