Deep Thoughts

Ok… So I’m waffling on NFL Final Four Picks

As previously written on this here blog… I was picking the road teams to win this weekend in the NFL.

Upon further review (as the referees like to say), I think I’m wrong.

With uncertainties about the health of receiver Percy Harvin and the sudden disappearance of Adrian Peterson, I’m thinking I put too much faith in the Vikings.  I was hopeful for a 40-year-old dream of story for Brett Farve.  I saw their defense unload on Tony Romo.  BUT… doing it in the fervor of the Superdome will be a massive challenge, with the Saints hungry to play in their first ever Super Bowl.

Gimme the Saints 42-31.

Then… there’s the Jets.  These guys LOVE to keep it humble, huh?  Not really, and the quiet, confident, capable Colts are honing in on a 2nd Super Bowl in a couple of years.  And oh yah, they have Peyton Manning.  But the guy i’d be most concerned about is Dwight Freeney rushing off the edge—-yes, the Jets have an outstanding offensive line, but with a rookie QB in a load environment like that, I’d be stunned if he handles it well.

Colts 34-17.

No comments for you.

Thank you for picking the New Orleans Saints!!!  Having been born and raised in Chalmette, a suburb of New Orleans, we have been waiting for this to happen for over 40 years!!!!  All I can say is Who Dat???  Go Saints!!!
