The Best and Worst in College Uniforms!
This entry was generated by a conversation Omar and I had tonight on the phone—-watching the UCLA game… We agreed UCLA’s unis are sweet… perhaps the nation’s best… but upon further review….
I’ll be a negative nancy and go with the worst first. Bowl Subdivision teams only here…
THE BOTTOM TEN
110. West Virginia—-I put them here for two reasons…. 1. I’m a Marshall grad and they make my eyes hurt, and 2. What’s the deal with the slanted numbers—like they didn’t drink their V8…
111. Wyoming—-gross. Yellow and Brown are colors of mustard.
112. Michigan—I could also throw 1-AA Delaware in here for a tie because they wear the same brutally ugly winged helmet.
113. Iowa State——take it down a notch with the Red. and the logo… why are they the cyclones but a bird comes to the games?
114. Hawaii—-fellas… I prefer the old green jersey rainbow days to these monsters.
115. Miami (FL)—-no wonder they’re terrible now… i usually can’t even read their numbers.
116. ANY SCHOOL WEARING PURPLE—-say hi to Northwestern, Kansas State, Washington, TCU, etc….
117. San Diego State—-All black, all bad.
118. Air Force—grown men should not wear lightning bolts on their clothes… I’m looking at you, Chargers.
119. Oregon—-if the word “neon” is anywhere near the color description, just say no. Oregon says “Just do it,“ thanks to Nike, Phil Knight and millions of bucks in ridonkulous color matching.
THE TOP TEN
10. North Carolina—-the Tarheel blue is gorgeous
9. Tennesee—-in particular the road uniforms… bright orange and white is a crisp, clean look…
8. Arizona—the new uni is strong… the streamlined look in the dark blue and red… btw—How is Arizona not any better than they are?
7. Michigan State—-maybe a surprise here, but i love their color of green and the sharp helmets….
6. Viriginia—-boy they got dirty against USC, but for years the HOOS have looked sharp, home and away.
5. The new Missouri unis—-I dig the Gold Pants.. very underrated uni, just like the team and school.
4. UCLA—-as I said, the uni that inpsired this entry. The baby blue and gold together are classic and cool at the same time.
3. THE Ohio State University—-The Buckeye sticker is the top accessory in the sport… and I like that the uniform looks better now than it ever has.
2. Auburn——very similar look to UVA but nicer—-always love the logo and the color…
AND
1. the new Texas A&M—-absolutely LOVE em… the gray pants are awesome… always been a big fan of the A&M on the helmet—-and when the Aggies score, which is rare… you kiss your best girl!
