The day before THE day…
As Les Miles puts it, his team feels “pent up, trapped and held hostage.” His Tigers will have a 37 day layoff between games. So it’s hard to say what OSU’s 51-day layoff has done to its players.
Regardless, it goes down at 8:22 tomorrow night.
Both coaches gave a final news conference this afternoon, then posed with the crystal football-the national championship trophy.
Jim Tressel says he extremely confident in Todd Boeckman to lead the Bucks, despite two very shaky games to close the season. He says the key to the entire game is protecting the qb against LSU’s fearsome defense.
And one fun note…
LSU will watch the movie 300 as a team tonight. When Tressel was asked if he’s seen “300,” the coach said “the last movie I went to see was Jaws 1.” So the coach hasn’t seen a movie in 30 years! At least Tress has his humor intact.
More to come tonight from New Orleans.
