The OSU Open Practice: The Scoop
Covering both sides: scarlet and gray… here’s some info from the OSU Open Practice.
Several recruits were walking the sidelines, including Storm klein and Jamie Wood who’ve already committed to OSU for next year.
The one thing I notice immediately everyone’s slimmed down. That goes for linemen, too. It’s camp and that makes sense, but wow. Physically these guys look ready.
Depth at defensive line… Thaddeus Gibson comes into the mix at D-End this year, which means OSU has 3 proven threats as rush defensive ends, with another coming up in Soloman Thomas.
So here’s my Terrelle Pryor take-he throws it better than I remember. More over the top delivery. Did not show a lot Monday night, but you can see the potential.
Young linebackers-Hines, Rolle, Moeller. That’s a bright future.
And another QB note… Joe Bauserman is the real deal. Jim Tressel’s constant praise is not for show. He throws a beautiful ball and can really run. Could he be the backup QB-no doubt!
Tress says the best player in camp so far has been Dane Sanzenbacher. He showed a bit of why Monday night. He caught the first pass in the scrimmage session.
