The Mid Ohio Food Bank needs a lot of help. Shelters all over Central Ohio are seeing dozens of new families walk in looking for help. The pantries can only provide that help if the Mid Ohio Food Bank can provide a network of affordable food. The best way to fight this is to raise awareness of the problem and mobilize the people in the community who can help.

Thanks to you, we’ve received all sorts of ideas about how to be a better news and information gathering and disseminating organization. We are working on making some of those ideas a reality. In the meantime, a few of us are looking at blowing it all up and doing it differently. You told us that journalism done socially is the way to go, so, I have a question.

One of the very first questions I heard from several people when we started using twitter is, “are you careful about what you put on there so the competition doesn’t know what we’re doing?“ My question, “Is it about the competition or is it about getting information to people as fast as possible while building conversation and relationships?“
