Weather Watchers

big storm brewing

For all you amateur meteorologists and me included in this - I (we) were all focusing on the low near Houston as the main player in this next storm.  I kind of overlooked the low in Nebraska.  That one is getting it’s act together and has wind with it and will track just south of us.  So the reality is that the Nebraska low will do more for snowfall than the southern one which tracks off the East Coast on Saturday.  Still a high wire balancing act though cause as the Plains lows gets into Kentucky it will get absorbed into the eastern Low and cut off snow and weaken.  So if this happens at the wrong time, snow ends much sooner than we think.  Air above is colder though and that works in our favor for snow.

Super cold…. like walking around in a very cold turkish bath ...
Precip lurking everywhere in the air but not yet reaching the ground.

Soggy anyhow. Still some snow and ice in spots around back roads. And lower locations, long driveways.

Mid 40’s now, dropping slowly.
