All fall the jet stream has been coming from Texas across Ohio. This has given us a mild fall and all the rain. Interesting that the Blizzard of 1978 was this storm track with low coming from Louisiana/Texas bringing rain and warm air initially but eventually the /blizzard/ on the back side.
Now the jet stream is turning to bring clipper systems out of western Canada to the region. These lack the moisture of a southern storm, move quickly, always have a lot of wind. Also they return us to cold air to start next week.
