Weather Watchers

no relief

No relief from this awful pattern as severe storms and flooding rains again are in the forecast for Tuesday and Wednesday.  Main tornado threat should be south of the area, but again with vigrous spinning lows crossing to our west, the turning of the atmosphere can cause rotating storms.

This pattern reminds me of the Midwest flooding of 1993.  That started in March and April and worsened through the summer as the pattern did not change and storms and flooding pounded the Midwest over and over.  some river towns were under water for months.

Tornado preliminary count is 559, some will be double counting the same tornado; rainfall in the Ohio valley is approaching 10 inches for the month….both are records and the number of severe weather with hail and wind is nearing 5,600
