Weather Watchers

Winter Storm Warning

Rain line and warmer air reached almost to I-70 this afternoon - if that persisted we would have lost the 5-6 inches of snow we have, then regroup tonight.  But it is sagging south now with snow line almost to Ohio River so we will be in snow all night.  Thinking that 12 inches is certain now, wonder if there could be more.  Millersport to our southeast is at 6 inches but Lancaster is only 1 and it was rain in Athens.
since it is a weekend, kids and kids like Gelber and me will have so much fun

5 Inches and growing here, big flakes and not letting up. I would guess you are right about the 12 inches since we received 5 inches in 8 hours.

Noticed quite a difference in accumulation and road conditions just going up the hill on West Broad.  Left downtown with about 3” of slush on the ground.  Got to Westgate (five miles west) and found about 5”.  Had another 1” betweeen 5 and 6 p.m.

Thanks for reminding everyone to take it easy shoveling this wet stuff.  This is heart attack snow.

It is about 6:15pm and we have about 9 inches of snow already.  It is snowing heavily still.  The weight of the snow is causing branches on our trees to fall.  I am in a rural setting so it is par for the course.
