Where are Christmas displays this year?
I was wondering where the cool holiday lights are at this year. Where are the neighborhoods that have many houses with big holiday displays?

Since the election, Barack Obama has appeared on many occasions behind a podium which has a sign on the front which reads “The Office of the President Elect.“ Is there such a thing? I mean, I’ve got an office too, but it seems to me he’s trying to give the impression that this is some sort of official office, which I don’t think it is. Is there such a thing as the Office of the President Elect?
If the government is going to use taxpayers money to bail out the Big Three Automakers, do I get a new car?
I live in a residential neighborhood near Scioto Downs and I didn’t see a single snow plow or salt truck yesterday 12/6/08 and I was wondering why?
Why does the Columbus Dispatch automatically renew subscriptions? Every other periodical I subscribe to sends me mail when my subscription is almost up and if the subscription expires then I don’t want the magazine or paper anymore, and I don’t owe them anymore money. When a subscription to the Dispatch expires they automatically renew it and harass you until you pay or until you call to tell them that you’re cancelling.
As I travel throughout the state I see a x painted on the road. They are on state routes as I don’t remember seeing them on Interstate Highways. They are about say 2 1/2 feet square in size….......... My guess is they are some sort of reference for airplanes spotters for something maybe underground utilities or something.
I was just watching the 6 am news today (Thurs. Dec 4th) with a story about how Columbia Gas is raising their prices. Behind the reporter was a shot of Columbia Gas building with just about every single light on in the building. Could they not try to cut some of their costs by reducing the amount of electricity they use off hours, and is a rate increase from AEP next for consumers to pay for all the corporate waste of electricity in this city?
I want to dig in my yard, but I’m not sure where is safe. How do I find out when and where I can dig?
Isn’t there a law here that says when its raining or snowing and your wipers are on that you must turn on your your head lights? I see many cars out there that drive without lights and its very dangerous, cause a lot of times you don’t see them till you are almost on top of them.
What was the name of the skin cream mentioned on the evening news? It is supposed to work differenly from other treatments for dry skin.
Why is it that highway street lights have been turned off? Traveling up 315 at 6 in the morning most of the lights are on then I drive into Worthington and the lights are off. So I drive in what seems like a safe roadway into pitch blackness. Does the local city have to pay for the light bill and is that why they turn off the lights? These lights have been off for a while way before the recent construction at 315 and 270.
Why are so many overhead road signs not working throughout I-71, I-270? I was coming up from London-Groveport rd on I-71…I almost got off at the wrong exit due to the overhead signs being out. I also drive between Georgesville Rd and Roberts Rd…a great deal of the sign lights are out as well as ALL the lights that normally illuminate the exit ramp area of Roberts Rd.
Chase bank is charging $10 for not having direct deposit for 35 days. Looking on line it says no monthly service fee for direct deposit or 5 or more debit purchases which I did, can they do this?
I have a community question that has been bothering me. When Big Bear left Mill Run it left a huge void in that area. The shopping center looks dismal and the folks that live in the Glen and Millington area when it comes to grocery shopping. Not to mention the fact that those smaller businesses over there don’t have an anchor store any longer. It is my understanding that Kroger has purchased the old Big Bear but they are not making it a grocery store - they are using it as a WAREHOUSE! This 1) doesn’t help the community with a much needed grocery store or 2) help the area businesses with their need for an anchor store or 3) help the appearance of the Mill Run area (since Kmart is also gone - that whole area looks dismal). It is my understanding that Kroger bought the building to keep Giant Eagle out (but Giant Eagle would have put a much needed grocery there).
My question is if that area is zoned for retail - how can Kroger use that space for storage? Seems like there should be something that the city could do to help the local residents and smaller area business out.
Where can I recycle my used batteries safely?
