Traffic cams used to investigate?

Do police agencies use footage from traffic cameras to investigate traffic crashes? This morning’s crash (3/31/09) on 270 at Tuttle seems a perfect example of an accident that would be caught on film and authorities could possibly see what actually took place.

Violations for parking in handicap space?

Can you tell me what is the fine for parking in a handicap parking spot illegally (without being authorized to do so).  As I park in different parking lots around Central Ohio, I have noticed the fines listed for illegally parking in that parking spot ranges from 75 to a 250 fine.  How is this possible?

Warning sirens permanently damage hearing?

Can the community warning sirens damage hearing?  For example, the sirens in Ken Thompson Park in Upper Arlington are next to a shelter house and paved pathways, and close to ball and soccer fields.  How far away do you have to be to be safe?

City shutting down fire stations?

With no new Columbus Fire Department classes. Is the city going to shut down stations or pieces of equipment when the firefighters start taking advantage of the DROP program and there is not enough firefighters even with overtime to man all the stations, 911 center, & 40 hour positions?

New Dissolvable Tobacco?

On the news this morning between 6:30 and 7 Mike Jackson was talking about a something to help smokers, it’s nicotine, there’s no smoke. I would love to be get an answer about that and also on the news last week, they are talking about an RX card for people that do not have insurance.
