We spoke to Amanda Wurst, from the Governor’s office, she says the Governor serves as the state’s chief executive and is eligible to serve two four-year terms upon election. The Governor oversees 23 executive Cabinet agencies, which touch on every aspect of daily life for Ohioans – from health to education to the economy. The Governor is required to present an executive budget every two years that is subject to the approval of Ohio legislature. The Governor works with the General Assembly to develop and pass legislation that will provide the best quality of life for those who live, work and go to school in Ohio.
